Cryotherapy is the process of freezing your wart or verruca using liquid nitrogen to kill the cells. Your doctor applies the liquid nitrogen using a spray. You usually need to repeat the treatment every two to three weeks until the verruca has gone. It sometimes leads to blistering of your skin and can be painful, so it is not recommended for younger children.
